Music and ICT

This course is suitable for Primary and Post Primary

Topics will include:

• Using the computer to record compositions in the classroom.
• Composing using the computer to compose music with easy to use software.
• Using the internet as a resource - sourcing software and free backing tracks to accompany singing in the classroom.
• Merging sound and digital pictures to create slideshows for a school website, transferring VHS school video footage to the computer/DVD, scanning images etc.
• How to use YouTube files in the classroom.
• Creating a school website that contains music, video, blogs etc . . .
• Fun and interesting music projects such as creatig a music cd/dvd, making music for a mobile phone, creating a podcast, creating soundscapes  for a school concert/video etc...
• Software used for the course and course notes will be make available to all participants.
