Description:	This course takes a fresh look at teaching children in junior and senior infants in primary school and integrates both practice and theory. The course is based around the pedagogical approaches of story, talk and thought and play. Aspects of curriculum areas such as oral language, science, history and geography are examined through these pedagogical approaches. Examples of international practice are also included. The course concludes with reflection on the role and self care of the early year's teacher.
