The Music of Samba Drums & Percussion

This music course is aimed at teachers who already have some understanding pulse and rhythm and have perhaps already used music / percussion in the classroom.

We will be using Brazilian percussion instruments and learning rhythms based on traditional Afro/Brazilian music as well as music from around the world.  We will be exploring ways of integrating all that is learned into the classroom even when these traditional instruments aren't available.

All music is thought with a child centred understanding. Looking at the different ways there are to assist the students to become more focused and motivated.  Thus enabling the teacher to more successfully teach on to their own students.
