| Description: |
Up the Tempo is a primary schools music project sponsored by Ulster Bank and Learn & Explore at the National Concert Hall. As part of this project, musicians from The National Concert Hall's Learn & Explore programme will be running workshops in counties Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon in 2009 & 2010. Our teacher training session is free for all primary teachers and will be facilitated by Learn and Explore facilitator Aingeala De Búrca. It will include:
- Advice on developing music sessions in the classroom.
- Specific examples of activities that can be carried out during a class session.
- Discussion around the music curriculum.
- Advice on what instruments to use in the classroom.
- How to develop a long-term music strategy in the classroom.
