Cancelled Chess for Leaning
This workshop will show you how to promote chess in your classroom with a focus on participation not competition.
The social and non-competitive aspects are essential to the programme’s success.
Having fun and meeting new friends are as important, if not more important than the other skills being learned.
Chess for learning helps to develop computational thinking, logic and problem solving.
Using chess as a tool to improve aspects of pupils learning is proven to be effective across the world.
The teachers do not need to play chess, it is not necessary.
Register for Comhar Linn CheckMates, a primary school chess programme.
Upload a photo of your whole class playing chess to be in with a chance to win great prizes including €500 cash for the class.
