Cosán workshop 1, 2 & 3 - 22LCAU58

A series of 3 workshops to support cultures of collaborative reflection in schools and enhance the impact of teachers’ professional learning.

  • Workshop 1 – Tuesday,  4 October @ 6 to 8pm
  • Workshop 2 – Tuesday, 8 November @ 6 to 8pm
  • Workshop 3 – Tuesday, 29 November @ 6pm to 8pm

The ESCI (Education Support Centres Ireland) and the Teaching Council are co-hosting a series of three workshops for teachers interested in harnessing the power of professional learning to support their needs.  The workshops are facilitated by practising teachers and will provide opportunities for schools to learn from each other through reflective conversations that are underpinned by Cosán, the National Framework for Teachers’ Learning. Facilitators will provide helpful tools and strategies to support teachers and school leaders in the development of flexible, autonomous, and context-relevant professional learning experiences for all.

Schools are invited to nominate three staff members (including one middle or senior leader) to engage in the workshops.

To ensure maximum flexibility for participants, some Education Centres will collaborate to co-host workshops, with one Education Centre offering in-person workshops while partnered Education Centres will offer online workshops only.  Teachers attending from the same school are strongly encouraged to attend workshops in the same Education Centre and delivery mode.

Workshops will be hosted by 18 Education Centres across the country and bookings can be made directly through the participating Education Centres.  For full workshop schedule, visit www.esci.ie or click here for more information.

Book online at www.carrickedcentre.ie and a webinar link will be emailed to you on the morning of the workshop. Please check your SPAM folder if you do not receive the link in your inbox.

Please note that all courses will require viable numbers to proceed. If you have any queries regarding your online booking, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The workshops will be hosted by Sligo, Donegal and Carrick Education Centre. The information you provide when registering will be shared with the host centre and the centre through which you booked and can be used and shared by them in accordance with their Terms and Privacy Policy, which is available on their website.
