Child Protection: Roles and Responsibilities of Primary School Teachers This workshop will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of teachers in the area of child protection including; an awareness of signs and symptoms of abuse, handling a disclosure from a child, mandatory reporting responsibilities and curricular provision. There will be time in this meeting for teachers to ask questions and seek clarifications in matters relating to child protection, mindful of confidentiality requirements.
Bio - Vincent Mulvey
33 years teaching experience, 25 years as a Principal, 14 years as a teaching Principal and 11 years as an Administrative Principal. He has spent 9 years on secondment with the professional development services PCSP, PPDS and PDST in the area of Health and Wellbeing including Child Protection. He is currently an Associate with Oide on the leadership team. He has extensive experience presenting Child Protection workshops and webinars across the education centre network and in schools.
