Patrick Hickey is a SEC examiner for over 20 years; 13 of those as a Leaving Cert History Higher Level Examiner, including 2022. 

Among teachers and students, he is best known as the @lchistorytutor. You’ll find him on Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook and Twitter, where he has a growing following.

Patrick is a regular speaker at History Association seminars for both students and teachers, mainly presenting on the areas of exam technique, as well as sharing the inside track on how to achieve success in the Leaving Cert. History Exam. As an AP1 post holder and teacher he knows the demands of the job and sees Chat GPT as a way to work smarter and better, but not harder.
