This webinar will take participants on an exploration of essential literacy strategies and resources to support the emergent Literacy learner. It will offer highly practical pedagogical ideas for supporting the inclusion of the Science of Reading across a connected curriculum.

This webinar will be accompanied by resources to support the suggested approach.

Learning Outcomes

1. Participants will explore the progression from phonological awareness to the world of phonics.
2. Participants will be familiarised with strategies and resources to support the journey a child takes to achieving fluency.
3. Participants will apply this to the Science of Reading and the PLC.

Catherine Gilliland Bio

Catherine Gilliland is an experienced Literacy specialist with numerous publications. Her work has taken her across Europe and was a speaker at The World Literacy Summit in 2020. Her talent for storytelling makes her webinars engaging and very popular with teachers.
