Tús Maith - Irish Routines That Work from Day One (Naíonáin - Rang a 2) - 26LCSP10 (Facilitator Lisa Ní Lúing)

‘Tús Maith’ – Irish Routines That Work from Day One (Naíonáin - Rang a 2) Want to make Gaeilge a natural, stress-free part of your day? In this practical, feel-good session, you’ll learn how to kickstart the school year with simple Irish routines that stick. Together, we’ll explore: How to establish repeatable daily Gaeilge routines that build confidence from day one. How to use rannta, songs, and playful games to recycle vocabulary and keep language learning active. How to embed Gaeilge in classroom management and communication so pupils hear and use Irish consistently. How to differentiate routines for multi-level classes and support settings. This is your go-to guide for building strong language habits in Junior Infants - 2nd Class - a foundation that will grow with your pupils throughout the year.

Learning outcomes:

  • Teachers will be enabled to implement simple, repeatable Gaeilge routines that support daily oral language development.
  • Participants will develop a greater understanding of how rannta, songs, and short games can be used to recycle and reinforce high-frequency and new vocabulary.
  • Teachers will acquire the ability to integrate newly learned Gaeilge into classroom management, transitions, and everyday communication.
