Free Summer Course 2026
The 2026 Teacher Artist Partnership + summer course dates are Wednesday 1st - Tuesday 7th of July (excluding weekend).

Free to all primary & special school teachers. Hosted by your local full time Education Support Centre. Approved and led by the Department of Education and ESCI under Creative Youth 2023-2027.
Teacher Artist Partnership+ (TAP+) is a creativity rich summer course that supports professional development through wellbeing, relationships and creative partnership for teachers and creative practitioners. Participants create, explore and collaborate to enhance creativity and arts in education through creative process, critical reflection, collaboration and enjoyment.

During the summer course teachers will have the opportunity to apply for a TAP+ Residency to take place in partnership with a creative practitioner from their summer course and their students in the school year 2026/27. Each Education Support Centre will have 8 Residencies for participating teachers on the TAP+ Summer Course.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE TAP SUMMER COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A RESIDENCY PLACEMENT FOR EVERY TEACHER.
Teacher Artist Partnership+ Summer Course Aims:
- To support participants in planning, implementing, and assessing creativity rich experiences in partnership with children through curriculum and school policy.
- To enable participants to support children in developing creativity, voice and agency through TAP+.
- To highlight the potential of creative engagement in supporting and developing equality, diversity and inclusion in the school environment.
- To sustainably enhance the national programme of school-based creative learning by supporting teachers and creative practitioners to develop professional relationships, knowledge, and skills necessary to work in partnership with children.

Step 1: To book a place on any of our summer courses teachers must be registered on our website www.carrickedcentre.ie Step 2: Log in and use our online booking system.
Note: Closing date for registration on all courses is 3pm on Friday 5th June 2026
Important Points to Note for Participants of our Face-to-Face Summer Courses 2026
- All courses run from 9.30am-2.00pm every day.
- A minimum number of participants is required in order for a course to proceed. Maximum capacity is 25 on face-to-face summer courses.
- Full attendance is required to be awarded 3 EPV days.
- 2 EPV days will be awarded for 4 days attendance.
- 1 EPV day will be awarded for 3 days attendance. (Regardless of the reason for the absence).
- No EPV days will be awarded for less than 3 days attendance. Lunch break is from 11.30-12.00 each day and a light lunch will be provided each day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PARTICIPATION IN THE TAP SUMMER COURSE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A RESIDENCY PLACEMENT FOR EVERY TEACHER.
All our summer courses are booked on the condition that the course fee is non-refundable. Our Summer courses including the Fees are not transferrable to another teacher. Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your place on one of our courses or you are unable to attend the course, we are not in a position to refund fees. The course fee can only be refunded if the Education Centre cancels the course.
